As Christmas is coming, we have decided to extend our World Animal Week competition until the 28th of December as we know that many of you might consider sponsoring a pet for Christmas.
By sponsoring a pet, you are offering the gift of life and what better gift could you offer for Christmas?
If you help us we can:
• Raise enough money to acquire our own property for an animal shelter.
• Save many more lives.
• Run an education program to teach children responsible pet ownership.
• Provide a low cost spay and neuter scheme for people who need help.
• Provide a real animal ambulance service for Cork City.
• Provide a lost and found service for missing pets.
• Provide temporary foster homes for strays and unwanted animals.
• Have our own RSPCA trained animal welfare inspector.
• Break the endless cycle of pain and suffering which affects the strays.
The competition is set up to thank you for sponsoring a pet, but also to spread the word about the sponsorship programme. Thus, anybody setting up a standing order with us will be entered in a draw. Furthermore, there is also a prize for the person who recommends us to the most people, and one for the person who manages to raise the most standing orders in amount (we are keeping track and will be adding the amounts).
Here are the rules:
The concept is simple: please recommend us to your friends and encourage them to set up a standing order with us. We will accept any amount and your friend’s contributions will directly save lives.
The referrer who manages to raise the highest sum of monthly standing orders will win a fantastic Glen Muir 1891 Classic golf accessories set if a man OR a Pampering package if a woman (each of a value of approximately €100).
The person who recruits the most donators will receive a dinner voucher for two at the River Lee hotel in Cork (Note that if this person is the same as the previous winner, the prize will go to the next recruiter).
Finally, we will draw a name out of all the people who have signed for a standing order during the period. The winner will receive a family pass to Leahy’s Open Farm and a photo shoot with Strike a Paws.
You must ensure that your friends write down your name in the referrer section, otherwise it won’t be valid. Fill the form here: Christmas 2011 competition modified.
The competition will run until the 28th of December midnight (post stamp or time of email will act as proof). Notifications of standing order from your bank should be received during the following week or your entry will be invalidated. Winners will be announced on Facebook and this blog during the second week of January.
Prizes are non-refundable.
Remember that any money donated to the ACS goes directly towards the welfare of animals.
I would like to note that the sponsorship programme, if done through standing order, will also count towards the competition: Sponsor a Pet 2011.
The ACS would like to thank Fusion Hairdresser in Midleton, Solas beauty
salon in Cloyne, the River Lee Hotel in Cork, Leahy’s Open Farm and Diane Cusack at Strike a Paws for their generous contributions in the form of spot prize
donations.
